Solutions, service + simplicity
Our technical team’s guidance helped ensure the most effective, efficient solutions to minimise disruption for locals – as the bridge plays an important part in connecting residents and the farming community at Bombala to the coast.
- The team first removed all damaged and rotted timber.
- They sanded and removed paint from the top chord, and sealed all large holes and splits with Megapoxy 69, our high-strength epoxy adhesive gel with exceptional and sustained impact resistance.
- All small holes and splits were then sealed by painting on Megapoxy MC2 (in white), a maintenance coating with fast work time, proven durability and resistance to corrosion, impacts and scrapes.
- Finally, pouring holes were drilled along the top chord into the void to be filled.
Megapoxy 108 mixed with a fine aggregate and pour into the splits and prepared holes. This created a rapid-set liquid epoxy mortar to create high compressive and impact strength, fast.
Standout benefits
- Fast supply and efficient curing, no delays.
- Versatile, easy to use products.
- New life and sustained strength to connect the local community well into the future.
- Proven strength and durability to withstand car traffic and weather conditions.
- Historical preservation.
