Having already used our products for ferro-cement boats, the client knew they wanted a Megapoxy solution for this yacht. We helped guide them through the application of our crack injection system, bringing simplicity and confidence at every step.

• • All existing anti-fouling paint was first removed from the hull – along with any loose or damaged concrete.
  • Crack injection balloons were glued to the hull (along crack lines) using Megapoxy PM, an epoxy paste adhesive with outstanding strength and robust adhesion.
  • Using an injection gun, the balloons were injected with Megapoxy HX – a solvent-free, high-flow liquid resin that penetrates deep into cracks.
  • The balloons are designed to facilitate precise placement over cracks – and for the user to easily see and monitor the flow of injecting resin.
  • A specified time after injection, the team simply ground off the injection balloons and any additional product, leaving a smooth surface.
