Stacks on: powerful bonds for upmarket apartment facade
Client needs + challenges
The client needed a high-strength solution with high-build, gap-filling properties.
-
- The existing pre-cast concrete wall was not straight.
- A large surface area needed to be covered.
- The apartment facade is in a high-traffic pedestrian area.
Solutions, service + simplicity
We recommended Megapoxy PM for this project – a non-slump fixing material ideal for bonding materials to out-of-plumb walls. We then advised the client on the steps for application.
- The team removed all existing tile adhesive, by grinding back to concrete.
- They removed dust, damaged concrete and other debris from the wall surface.
- The new stackstone was secured in place using an easy spot-fixing technique.
- This simply involved applying three spots of Megapoxy PM, evenly placed across the back of the stackstone panel, and securing it to the wall.
Standout benefits
- Renowned strength and versatility.
- Permanent bond.
- Fast, easy mix and application.
- Elasticity for temperature variations & similar movement.
