However, commercial or industrial projects, or where substrate preparation is more complex, professional application is recommended to achieve strong adhesion, a consistent finish and lasting performance. Always follow the product datasheet and prepare the surface thoroughly.

Surface preparation is the most critical step. Concrete must be clean, dry and free of contaminants including dust, grease, existing coatings and curing compounds. Mechanical preparation — such as grinding or shot blasting — creates the surface profile needed for the epoxy to bond properly. Any cracks or holes should be repaired beforehand. Cure times vary by product, film thickness and ambient conditions.
