Epoxy Resin FAQs for Arts & Crafts:

Projects, compatibility and finishes

What’s the difference between casting and coating resins?

Casting resins, such as Megapoxy 132 and 206 Ultra, are designed for deep pours and embedding, delivering smooth, bubble-free results. Coating resins (like 69, H/HX, and PF Liquid) are lower viscosity and ideal for thin-layer finishes on surfaces and woodwork.

Can I use Megapoxy resin for jewellery or small silicone moulds?

Yes. Megapoxy 132 is well-suited for jewellery and small moulds, thanks to its clarity, low viscosity and smooth finish.

What’s the maximum pour depth for deep-pour projects?

Megapoxy’s casting resins are made for deep pours – but, for very thick projects, layering is recommended to achieve the best cure and clarity.

Are these resins UV-stable and scratch-resistant?

Yes. Our create & craft resins, including 132, offer excellent surface durability and UV stability, helping projects maintain their clarity and finish over time.

Can I add colour to Megapoxy craft resins?

Yes. Megapoxy 132 can add coloured pigments for stylish finishes, without affecting its clarity or performance.

Where can I find technical data sheets and application guides?

Technical Data Sheets, Safety Data Sheets, how-to videos and guides are available on our website or contact us anytime for advice.
