Megapoxy 132 Instructional Video
Product Overview
Megapoxy 132 is a low viscosity nonhydrophilic epoxy resin for many types of filling and coating applications.
It is stocked in clear and gray with other colors available by special order in the 30 L kits.
132 is available in conveniently prepackaged 4 and 1/2, 15, and 30 L kits with a simple 2:1 mix ratio.
Surface Preparation
Before you begin mixing, you’ll need to ensure that all contact surfaces like metal, concrete, and stone are clean and clear of oil, dust, and any other surface contaminants.
Concrete and Stone Surfaces should be prepared by grinding the surface and removing all the dust and debris. This helps ensure effective bonding contact.
Concrete surfaces should be ground back or as a minimum acid etched to ensure effective bonding contact.
Megapoxy 132 is VOC free.
As with all epoxy resins, please wear appropriate PPE including eyewear, gloves, and clothing when mixing and applying the product.
Mixing Instructions
Megapoxy 132 is a low viscosity epoxy resin.
It has a 30-minute work time with a 24-hour cure at 25°.
Megapoxy 132 has a ratio of two parts A to one Part B by volume.
It’s a liquid resin; it’s easy to pour.
Megapoxy 132 is available in clear and also N35 gray, which is an Australian standard color.
Megapoxy 132 is easily mixed by hand.
For larger projects and larger volumes of product, you can also mechanically mix.
We recommend mixing Megapoxy 132 for 3 minutes.
Using your timer, set the timer for 2 minutes, scraping the base and into the corners of the mixing container.
This gets all the unmixed product off the bottom.
After 2 minutes, scrape all the sides of the container and also the scraper.
Knead for another one minute.
After the 1 minute, the Megapoxy 132 should be nice and clear and streak free.
Once the Megapoxy 132 is all streak free, it’s ready for use.
Recommended Uses
Megapoxy 132 is recommended for surface repairs and protection for floor coatings, concrete protection and surface sealing, fiberglass and carbon fiber, and craft application.
132 is ideal for protecting and waterproofing structural concrete and timber.
It is approved for food and beverage production.
It is approved for decorative surfacing of factories, sporting or car parks with high abrasion resistance and serviceability.
Application
Applying Megapoxy 132 is easy and fast.
Uncured 132 can be cleaned with Megapoxy thinners.
It will cure stronger than concrete with excellent chemical resistance.
It can be applied with a brush, poured, or rolled.
Cut in edges before roller coating.
For bulk mixing, have all your part A containers ready, but do not combine them or mix multiple batches at once.
Only mix your second batch once the first has been applied.
Two thin roller coats works best.
Ensure you leave time for the first coat to set before reapplying.
