Megapoxy HICB is a high-impact crusher backing and grouting epoxy for industrial machinery. It is a low-viscosity epoxy resin available in conveniently prepackaged 10 kg kits in the correct mix ratio.

Before you begin mixing, you’ll need to ensure that all contact surfaces like metal, concrete, and stone are clean and clear of oil, dust, and any other surface contaminants. Blast, grind, and sand off any previous backing or grease. Wipe surfaces with acetone, xylene, or methylated spirits to ensure they are clean and contaminant-free. This helps ensure effective bonding contact. Compressed air can be used to remove dust from cracks and machinery. Megapoxy HICB is VOC free. As with all epoxy resins, please wear appropriate PPE including eyewear, gloves, and clothing when mixing and applying the product.

Megapoxy HICB has a work time of 30 minutes and a 24-hour cure at 25°. We recommend 3 minutes of mixing—2 minutes initially, then scraping the sides, followed by a further 1 minute or until completely uniform in colour.

Once Part B is added, you can see it is blue in colour to ensure even and thorough mixing. Mix for 2 minutes, scraping the sides to remove unmixed product, then continue mixing for one more minute. The final mixture should be completely uniform and one colour.

Once Megapoxy HICB is fully mixed and uniform, it is ready for use. Pour the combined HICB into the backing wear area as soon as it is mixed and before its exothermic reaction begins.

You can begin mixing a second batch once the first has been poured. Do not mix multiple batches at the same time, as you may not have enough time to pour them before the exothermic reaction begins.

Tools and any excess HICB can be cleaned with Megapoxy thinners. Allow 24 hours to cure before reassembly and operation. Dispose of all cured and uncured HICB, as well as containers and tools, in accordance with local, national, and international regulations.

Megapoxy HICB will cure stronger than concrete with good chemical resistance. It is also recommended for:

• Grouting machinery
• Base plate grouting
• Chocking machinery
• Rail grouting
