The system uses specially designed injection balloons, bonded over the crack with a high-strength epoxy adhesive. These allow controlled, visible flow of low-viscosity resin into the structure, ensuring full penetration and a strong internal bond. After a specified time, the balloons are simply ground off (with any additional product), leaving a smooth surface. Ideal for over-water and vertical applications, it’s a simple and economical technique that delivers permanent results.

Bridge work often means tight timelines, difficult access and minimal downtime. Rapid-set epoxy solutions help crews move quickly without compromising quality. In one heritage application, a fast-setting mortar – created with a blend of hydrophilic resin and fine aggregate – was used in combination with other products to restore and strengthen damaged timber, delivering high compressive strength and impact resistance in a short timeframe. Large holes and splits in the timber were sealed using a high-strength epoxy adhesive gel, providing exceptional durability. Many formulations are also designed for vertical, overhead or inclined surfaces, so awkward angles don’t slow progress on site.

Epoxy maintenance coatings also provide long-term resistance to corrosion and abrasion — ideal for exposed timber or steel elements.
